Collage Makers Summit 2024
I would love to tell you about something fun coming next month. It is called the Collage Makers Summit 2024, and I am thrilled to be one of the fourteen artists teaching on this special event.
The Collage Makers Summit has been curated by Drew Steinbrecher who brought together top collage artists in one place to share processes, tips and tricks with students from around the world.
Collage Makers Summit 2024 will take place from 4-17 March with a lesson from one of the instructors sent out daily over the two weeks.
Each lesson has been recorded and edited specifically for this seminar which will bring you a variety of collage projects covering techniques to inspire and enthuse.
Early bird registration is $67, valid until 3 March, it will increase to $97 from 4 March and only available to purchase until 17 March.
CMS 2024 is self paced with life long access to the recordings.
What will I teach on this seminar?
Those of you who have done my painting courses will know how much I love using painted paper collage to demonstrate how layering of acrylic paint works together with combinations of colours and textures to create dynamic artworks.
In the seminar I'll be using the simple shape of a house to explore combinations of layered colours along with marks using Aquarelle and regular pencils.
I demonstrate what materials I've used to create the painted papers and how acrylic matte medium is integral to adhere multiple collage layers onto paper. The art materials used in the lessons are the same as I use in my practice as a professional artist.

CMS brings together top collage artists in one place so that they can share their processes, tips & tricks, and artistic thoughts for students around the world.
What will I learn at CMS 2024?
Fourteen instructors will bring you fourteen video lessons incorporating various collage techniques to help invigorate your love of collage.
The summit is self-paced so you can enjoy when you have the time. We will also be hanging out in a Facebook group where you can ask questions and share your work.
We're looking forward to having both new and experienced artists from around the world in the summit.

When is the summit?
The summit begins March 4 and ends March 17, 2024.
Are the lessons live? Do I need to be present to watch? What if I'm busy those dates?
The video lessons are prerecorded... you can follow along during the two weeks OR catch up later when you have the time. You have lifetime access, so return to the online classroom as much as you'd like and watch the video lessons whenever you'd like.
How much does the summit cost?
The early bird price of US$67 runs February 19 through March 3, 2024. The Regular price of US$97 begins March 4 and ends March 17, 2024.
Is it a one time payment or a subscription?
It's a one time payment, not a subscription. You pay only once and you have lifetime access to the content.
What level is this course suitable for?
This class is for anyone who wants to learn more about collage. The material is suitable for both beginners and intermediate artists.
Is there an online community for this class?
Yes! There are discussion forums for each lesson that you can use to ask questions, as well as a Facebook group where you can share your work and interact with other students.
Are the videos closed captioned/subtitled?
Yes! There are English subtitles on each video.
How long are the video lessons?
The 14 videos are 25-30 minutes long on average. That's approx. 7 hours of content!
What supplies do I need?

What if I don't enjoy the class?
If you feel like you don't get value from the class, and you've watched less than 50% of the content, please email Drew and we will refund you the full amount.
